New design.
New technology.
New features.
New opportunities.
Walter is a simple and compact pumping station, which complies with the directive EN 12050:1. The housing of Walter is a uniform and integral complex: all lifting lugs, connections, leadthroughs etc. are already on the housing. The unique design ensures the durability (stiffness class SNH) and good anchoring characteristics. Walter can be assembled either with one or two pumps.
DESIGN
The main emphasis in planning Walter has clearly been on its design. The creators of Walter have set for themselves the task of making a pumping station that is simple and compact. All the solutions and every single detail in Walter is designed to make the handling of the pumping station simple and comfortable both for installers and operators. The housing of Walter is a uniform and integral complex: all lifting lugs, connections, leadthroughs etc. are built in the housing. No need to add, weld or screw on anything extra. This contributes to minimum errors in the assembly of the pumping station and ensures a longer and more carefree future for Walter under the ground, in the place where the pumping station will be considerably less accessible after the installation.
The housing, which is manufactured in one piece by the rotary casting method, is durable and rigid (wall thickness 12 mm) and has a unique circular base. A base with namely this shape ensures the durability of the housing of Walter, resistant to the pressure of high surface water, while avoiding the accumulation of sediments. The base design of Walter is clever also on the outside. The unique design ensures good anchoring characteristics, in case of proper soil backfill nothing more will be needed. For transportation you can position two Walters side by side on a normal trailer, and thus the transportation of Walter is less expensive and saves nature.
FEATURES
The pump is naturally the heart of the pumping station. Walter can be assembled either with one, or to be even more sure, with two pumps. The creators of Walter have installed the pumps not in the bottom, but above it, since this way the running pumps will set the sediments in motion, ensuring thereby excellent continuous extraction.
The pumping station part that requires maintenance and inspection most is the pump. In designing Walter, special attention was paid on the ease and fastness of pump inspection. The connector of the pump is always outside the water and it is easy to check its water tightness. Walter pumps are fixed with quick couplings, which make it possible to lift the pumps out separately by means of cables and to check their condition. Diving in the bottom of a pumping station to check the pumps belongs in the past century!
By the way, after removing the pumps the piping of the pumping station can also be easily pulled out. Walter is made from white polyethylene. You might ask, why namely white? When checking the operation of a pumping station it is important to see, what is happening inside, and against the white background all that is necessary is clearly visible.
The entwining and entanglement of the cables of the floats of Walter is prevented with a simple measure: the cables are placed inside a special tube. It is vital that the pumping station could be adapted to different installation depths. For this purpose Walter includes a telescopic tube with a special design, hermetically connected to the housing without any extra elements. The cover of Walter also needs no extra contraptions, since it is made from plastic and thereby attracts no metal thieves.
